I did go to see the doctor about my painful left arm. It was thoroughly examined. It's tendonitis - inflammation of the tendon from repeated arm movements; and too much computer work at home was identified as the culprit. So I'll have to avoid prolonged sessions in front of the keyboard for a while, and in the meantime limit my time pressing those keys. I'm OK away from the keyboard, although at rest the arm aches quite badly at times. This has been making getting a good night's sleep rather difficult. However, the aching has eased off somewhat tonight, and this is without any medication since this morning. (I've been taking Co-Codamol) I'll take some more just before bedtime, and hopefully I'll sleep better.
The doctor recommended no more than 15 minutes computer time at one session. That'll make putting a blog post together rather a challenge. I've therefore decided to publish a set of articles on one of my lifelong interests - maps. Yes, I'm a map buff. Theses articles will please someone of similar mind, but will probably bore everyone else. I'm sorry if they do that. They say something about my life. But for the next few days, I mustn't spend a lot of time sitting in front of the PC, composing posts from scratch. I can only offer ready-made stuff that hasn't seen the light of day before, at least not on this blog.
Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible!

That smartyphone or tablet probably has voice recognition, that would save the arm. I find returning from a net free trip is bad since the muscles used for clicking soon reduce without use.
